Failed to load profile error when starting the game
Description: Players on PS4 and PS5 are reporting a "failed to load profile" error when starting the game. This usually only starts after they have crashed. Badge and feat data are not displaying, and do not progress.
Status: We have released a fix for this issue as of 2.51. Unfortunately, it does not retroactively apply to profiles already lost. If you load into save files that already have feats applied to them, there is a chance that this will restore the associated feat data.
We have also heard from players who are still playing the PS4 version on their PS5 that migrating to the update PS5 version has helped restore profile data. Framed photos missing on PS5 if saves were migrated from PS4
Description: Framed photos on PS4 saves migrated to the PS5 version of the game appear black/empty.
Status: We have released a fix as of 2.50.
Frequent crashing during WINTERMUTE
Description: PlayStation players may experience frequent crashing while trying to play WINTERMUTE.
Status: We have released a fix as of 2.51.
Black screen on WINTERMUTE
Description: After launching WINTERMUTE, a player's screen appears black.
Workaround: Please adjust your game's brightness. Please follow steps below:
- If you do not have an existing WINTERMUTE save
dpad down, dpad-down, X, d-pad down, d-pad down, X, dpad right to increase brightness. - If you do have an existing WINTERMUTE save:
dpad down, dpad-down dpad down, dpad-down, X, d-pad down, d-pad down, X, dpad right to increase brightness.
Safehouse capacity issues
Description: The Safehouse capacity may appear over the limit, even before placing items inside. The capacity indicator may also increase upon building re-entry and doesn't decrease properly after destroying decorations.
Status: This issue should be resolved in our most recent Hotfix.
The game may crash after Cheating Death, during transition zones or randomly
Description: Players may encounter crashes after specific in-game actions or, in rare cases, at random.
Status: We are working on a fix. Please stay tuned.
